It’s Bank Holiday here in the UK and I do love a long weekend! Happy Easter if you’re celebrating.
The weather has also been brilliant, (apart from today) so we’ve been out and about, here and there, visiting and calling in, so not much writing has happened at all.
I did a bit on my new book, but not as much as I’d have liked, and it got me thinking about consistency.
Both in a writing routine and when posting on social media.
Because if you don’t plan, weekends like this can mean that zero posting happens which is such a shame as it’s when most people are actually scrolling!
So in today’s content idea, I’m discussing how to plan ahead.
How to prepare, create and schedule content, so that you, your books, and your work are still visible even when you’re super busy!
I’m also looking at trends, did you see the Barbie trend that’s doing the rounds on Instagram?
And Lemon8, everyone seems to think it’s the new TikTok, but I’m not so sure. I’ve opened up an account on there, so if you are on the app, come say hello.
WHAT’S NEW?
Is Lemon8 the new TikTok or the new Clubhouse?
So much speculation surrounding Lemon8 right now, I’m on the platform but haven’t used it much yet and I think it could work for authors using the Instagram carousel type post, but I think everyone is waiting to see what happens with TikTok first before jumping in!
How Booktok makes money
This is a really interesting article about Booktok and the influencers on there and what makes TikTok sell books.
