I’ll be at Harrogate Crime Writing Festival as you read this!

You may even be reading this on your phone at the festival, which is wild, and unlikely, but I thought I’d say hello to those two future people, whilst writing this to you on the Wednesday before I even pack.

It’s been a busy week, I was featured in an article in the Daily Express where I wrote about Harrogate and how I’ve made some of my best friends there.

The article was also featured in the ‘celebrity news’ section, so I’m taking that as total evidence that I’m now a celeb, and will be acting accordingly.

Anyway, if you are at the festival, I hope you’re having a great time, and if you’re not at the festival, listen up! Important news!

Instagram is now besties with Google.

So from now on, your Instagram content will show up on Google search results. So what does this mean?
In short, it means more reach, more followers, and more visibility but only if you do the right stuff.

So if you have old posts that you’d rather not show up in a Google search, now is the time to start deleting them.

It’s not clear if your bio will be included in this, so mainly just your content within your reels, posts and carousels, but what I’m suggesting below should also be in your bio in any case.

How to make sure your Instagram content is showing up on Google

Here’s a step by step of what you need to do:

  1. Find out your strategic keywords.
